that each person should drink a day is dependent on several things.

The average young healthy adult in a temperate climate with regular daily activity would require 101 Ounces of water a day for men and 75 ounces of water a day for women according to the Institute of Medicine.

Since a normal glass can hold 8 ounces, then according to the Institute of Medicine men would need 12 to 13 glasses of water a day while women would need about 9 glasses of water a day.

For example, if you leave in a very hot and humid environment and you exercise every day, then obviously you’ll need much more water.
